Is anybody out there?
I’ve often pondered what the implications of the existence of extra-terrestrial life would be if we knew for certain there was such a thing. And as I wonder, dream, and imagine what such life forms would do, enjoy, desire, and even look like, I begin to determine three main truths that we must believe about such possible life forms, that are true even though we aren’t sure if they exist.
The three are:
1.) They are different, but if they don’t try to take us up in beams of light, we can be friends.
2.) We are better.
3.) ‘Merica.
Point 1. - They are different, but we can be friends.
It is obvious, or at least highly likely, that the “aliens,” for lack of a better term, are going to be vastly, and of course terrestrially, different from us in the human race. However, we must learn that, like other people (especially people you may see on a subway ride), we can learn to love, cherish, learn from, and befriend these creatures so strange yet intriguing.
